It’s What’s Inside (2024)

1BR (2019)

An aspiring costume designer moves into what seems like the perfect LA apartment: affordable rent and friendly neighbors. Then she learns the building has quite a few rules with consequences worse than losing your security deposit. I’ll just, uh, leave this link here: Does the Dog Die? 1BR Movie

Influencer (2022)

A lonely travel influencer meets a mysterious, fearless woman while vacationing in Thailand, and the two quickly hit it off. Obviously, their friendship gets real weird real quick. Digital identity theft, missing passports, and a deserted island certainly put a damper on even the most Instagrammable destinations.

NGL I almost bypassed this one because it sounded predictably lame. It has some twists.

The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)

Tom Ripley gets a taste of the glamorous life of wealthy elites and decides he’d very much like to stay there, thank you very much. Unfortunately, he lacks the money, clothes, connections, and morals to make that happen. Tack on Saltburn and you’ve got one hell of a double-feature film night.

The Menu (2022)

A young woman accompanies her date to an ultra-exclusive restaurant on a private island. The food is incredible, the guests are insufferable, and the staff are taking things way too seriously. Little-do-they-know, the diners have been hand-picked by the chef for a night they’ll never forget.

Bodies, Bodies, Bodies (2022)

Rich kids gather at a mansion during a hurricane and decide to play a murder-mystery game. Then someone actually dies, and everybody’s secrets and grudges suddenly come out to play.

The Decline (2020)

A group of survivalists gather at a remote camp for a few days of training for the collapse of civilization. They’re having a great time learning about vegetation, snaring, and building pipe bombs. When an accident happens, the group suddenly isn’t as concerned about the apocalypse as they are about each other. Oui, film is in French.

The Invitation (2015)

Let’s set the scene: you’ve accepted an invitation to a dinner party hosted by your ex… and their new partner… at your old house… and they’re acting just a little too friendly. The evening starts with awkward small talk and wine before slowly transforming into the kind of dinner party you’re desperately trying to leave.

Swiss Army Man (2016)

This is such a bizarre film that it’s almost like Daniel Radcliffe decided he could do literally whatever the fuck he wanted after Harry Potter. Swiss Army Man is part survival, part bromance, part “is this for real?”. Please just go into this film absolutely blind like I did.

Where to watch: Netflix | 73% on Rotten Tomatoes

The Hunt (2020)

Rich elites kidnap a group of citizens to hunt for sport. Don’t worry guys, this is just a satirical action-thriller, and definitely not something that could ever happen in real life. Does The Hunt get a little political? Sure. Does the film troll both sides equally? You bet.

Where to watch: Prime Video | 57% on Rotten Tomatoes

Coherence (2013)

Eight friends are enjoying a totally normal dinner party when a comet passes dangerously close to Earth and things start getting weird. Phones stop working, glow sticks become super important, and suddenly nobody knows who-or what-they can trust.

Get Away (2024)

A family vacationing on a remote Swedish island happen to arrive just in time for a freaky, deaky local festival. What are the odds, right? The townsfolk are weird, their traditions are weirder, and a serial killer is running loose. What was supposed to be a relaxing holiday turns into an unexpected horror-comedy.

The White Tiger (2021)

A poor man becomes the chauffeur for a wealthy Indian family and gets an intimate look at the enormous class divide. Watching people above him live by an entirely different set of rules, our ambitious main character decides he’s done playing Mr. Nice Guy.

Blink Twice (2024)

Alright this one is a bonus because unlike the films above, this one is no longer available to stream for free.

A cocktail waitress gets invited to a billionaire’s private island where everyone seems to be having the time of their lives. But, shocking absolutely nobody at this point, not everything is what it seems.
